About the Founder

I am a wife and mom of two precious girls. In every job I could remember, I was always teaching, mentoring, or coaching. Through various leadership roles, I have also gained skills in community building, project management, and leadership.

Within the last few years, I have seen a growing need of building and supporting our tween and teen girls’ life skills and self-confidence. I remember how much I struggled through my own tween and teen years and telling myself, “I’m just taking up space on this earth.” It was a very lonely journey, and I was constantly seeking for a community that could cheer me on and guide me especially during those times when I felt like I was drowning.

Having gone through my own trials and tribulations, I have come to embrace the lessons I’ve learned to grow in myself and support others. Later in my early career, I found myself joining different community groups providing support and guidance in my own leadership and personal development. It was this experience that taught me the power of community and mentorship.

Because of my own transformative experience, I am determined to provide this needed support for our tween and teen girls. Witnessing my older daughter struggle and hearing similar stories from other parents, I couldn’t just sit here and wait for a program to come. Because of this, I founded Embrace Her Journey in May 2022 to help create a safe, supportive space that would allow girls to embrace who they are and the path they were created for.
