Ask the Right Questions When Facing Challenges
Have you heard of the phrase, “When it rains, it pours”?
Unfortunately, our family has been facing that these last few months and it hasn’t stopped. We’ve dealt with ERs, hospital stays, unknown diagnosis, and so much more…It’s times like this when you are being tested at how well you confront and ride these crashing waves that are coming at you one after another.
How do you respond when something challenging comes your way?
Do you hide or avoid the problem?
Do you feel sorry for yourself and allow things to happen?
Do you give up and not even try to make things better?
OR
Do you face your problem with an open-mind?
Do you find ways that you have control over to solve the problem?
Do you become resourceful and reach out for help?
The types of questions we ask ourselves affect how we approach our problems.
Here are some questions you can ask yourself as you are trying to overcome your challenge in life.
What can I do right now that would help me have a better mindset?
What are some things I can be grateful for?
What am I doing to take care of myself mentally, emotionally, and physically?
What are some resources I can access right away?
How do I want to show up in this situation?
What can I do right now to prepare myself and plan for my next steps?
What are some things I have control over that could make things better or lead to better outcomes?
When we are coming from a place of empowerment, we are more likely to take action and create momentum for ourselves which usually leads to better outcomes.
What challenges are you having? What questions can you ask yourself to create positive actions and outcomes?
Just start with one question and take one action.
Let me know how it goes for you.
